The agreement to sell the most famous slimming drug of the moment

remedio para emagrecer

It was recently reported that the Brazilian company BIOMM has signed an agreement with the pharmaceutical industry BIOCON to distribute in Brazil a drug similar to Ozempic, indicated for the treatment of diabetes, but used mainly to treat obesity. However, this will only be possible because the patent holder of the drug has certainly authorized, through a technology transfer agreement, the use of its patent in exchange for royalty payments.

The patent holder for the medication is the Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, which has the exclusive right to commercial exploitation and manufacture until July 2026, when the patent will expire and fall into the public domain, allowing anyone to use the formula.

Until then, the manufacture and sale of the drug is restricted to the patent holder, or to third parties who license the technology / know-how, which is what happened in this case.
